Research Meeting at Ehime University

A two-day research meeting was held at Ehime University on February 3rd and 4th, the first face-to-face meeting for the MNGD project in a quite a while, bringing together the principal investigator of this project, Prof. Kimura, the leader of each component, and major researchers.

The progress of each component was reviewed, future issues were mutually identified, and lively discussions were exchanged using body language and hand gestures. It was a very productive meeting where we could feel the passion of the participants directly.

In addition, during a laboratory visit to the Faculty of Engineering at Ehime University, which was conducted prior to the meeting, graduate students of Prof. Yasuhara, the leader of Component 2, presented posters and explained in detail about the laboratory’s activities and equipment. Mr. Frehaileab, an MNGD international student in the PhD program, also described his research project, which he is enthusiastically working on.
