Survey of proposed site for road improvement

In parallel with the preparation work for the full-scale driving experiment at Jinka University, Dr. Fukubayashi of Miyazaki University, Dr. Kaneko and Dr. Shigeta of Kyoto University conducted a survey of a 2.7 km section of road that local residents had requested for road improvement, identified necessary bridges and drainage structures, held discussions with local surveyors and designers, and shared this information with the Werede local administration, which is responsible for this improvement project.

The road to be constructed is expected to improve convenience for local residents as the shortest road connecting the village and the health center. In line with this plan, students from Jinka University were asked to participate in the survey of local residents regarding the current situation before the road construction.
