December 7, 2023, the participants of MNGD Short-term training gathered in a seminar room at Katsura Campus of Kyoto University for a workshop that summarized the training. Two of the presenters gave online presentations, one from Center for African Area Studies, Kyoto University and the other from the University of Miyazaki. The online audience included participants from Ethiopia.
First, Mr. Feyera, who has been conducting experiments with Prof. Kamei at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Miyazaki, gave a report, followed by Mr. Mohammed, who received instruction in research methods at the Center for African Area Studies, Kyoto University. He presented his plans for the MNGD project exhibition at the Jinka Museum.
Next, Mr. Belachew and Mr. Wendimu, who have been conducting experiments at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, summarized and reported the results of their experiments.
Lastly, Dr. Fitsum of AASTU gave a summary report.
Lively questions came from the participants and they have identified tasks to be done in the remaining project activity period.
