The 21st International Conference of Ethiopian Studies was held at Addis Ababa University on September 28th to October 1st, 2022. Prof. Shigeta, a member of the SATREPS-MNGD project, organized a panel on 29th, and Mr. Matsukuma and Dr. Kaneko presented the SATREPS-MNGD project activities and research outcomes. The questions and comments we received from Ethiopian scholars and graduate students, whose specialties differ from those of the project members, seemed to reaffirm the significance and strength of the project. The opportunity to interact and exchange views with Ethiopian researchers from different regions at the international conference provided an important avenue to further advance the project in the future.
