Experiments at AASTU(2023 March)

In March 2023, Prof. Kamei from University of Miyazaki and Prof. Sawamura from Kyoto University visited Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) to conduct experiments with local staff and students, including Mr. Belachew as lecturer and Mr. Wendimu as research assistant.

Prof. Kamei tested the effects of different sizes of plant material powders, and also provided technical guidance to students and staff in biotechnology, food processing, and microbiology.
Prof. Sawamura guided the students through the process of preparing specimens for unconfined compression testing of black cotton soil using a small mold and rammer, and conducted four related experiments.

About 10 days of experiments and meetings allowed them to share the issues of Component 1 and 2 and determine the future plans.
